Totally loved the place. It’s as beautiful as the pictures. The food was great, the hospitality excellent. Perfect place to avoid the crowded beaches. We went to Pine Island for the Florida Fly Fishing School and the director of the school Scott Swartz recommended this place to us. Couldn’t have been happier. Thanks to Michael (Host/JWU) Donna and Shohreh and all.

“Old Florida Charm”

Reviewed March 29, 2018 by Julie W of Jupiter, United States

Fishermen, families & couples celebrating something special at Tarpon Lodge Restaurant. I had clams, a huge filet of snapper and pasta stuffed with cheeses & pear- all were fantastic.
The tropical setting morphed into a beautiful sunset during dinner and Julian our waiter was adorable.
Tarpon Lodge is set in a serene safe family neighborhood boasting Old Florida Charm, boat dockage and the luxury of an upscale restaurant. We stayed in the boat house which has a kitchenette, a cute front porch & is very close to the marina where you can dock your boat. We had a fun day Island hopping and walking the pristine Cato Costa beach.

“Weekend Getaway for my 60th Birthday”

Reviewed February 1, 2018 by Barbara W

We stayed at the hotel 3 nights. We came by boat, crossed through the state of Florida for my 60th Birthday. The hotel, hotel staff, dining facilities and dockage was fantastic. The hotel is very nice but not pretentious, the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay truly enjoyable. My daughter gave me a gift certificate for a massage on my birthday and she was told that Uber was available to take me to the spa. As mentioned we came by boat and did not have a car. I called Uber 1/2 hour before my appointment and no one was available. I went into the office and asked if there was a taxi cab service. The front desk called the taxi only to find out that they had a 1 1/2 hour wait. Needless to say I was very disappointed to find all of this out. The front desk person said “I will take you” and that is what she did. I was very taken aback at this level of customer service. You don’t find this type of customer service very often. That night, on my birthday we had dinner in the restaurant and it was by far the best dinner I have had in many, many years. Just fantastic! I would highly recommend the Tarpon Lodge to anyone. Thank you Tarpon Lodge for your great customer service.

If you want a simply clean comfortable place to spend a couple of days relaxing and letting the busy electronic world pass you by, Tarpon Lodge & Restaurant on Pineland, Florida is the place for you. The sunset view will be etched in the fabric of your mind long after you leave the property. “A Surprise Getaway – Not So Far Away”

Reviewed July 25, 2016 by Carol S of St. Petersburg, Florida

For years we’ve talked about staying at the Tarpon Lodge; but, just never got around to it … So glad we did … This is a place to truly relax! The grounds are beautiful, well-manicured. They have lots of dock space for boaters, a pool, yard games – plus wonderful shaded areas under the Island House with tables, chairs, hammocks, grills and more. However, you might just want to go for the food in the restaurant – amazing. Great menu choices. Frankie our friendly server took excellent care of us, and everything we ordered was delicious (don’t miss the Crabmeat Tortellini.) In the morning they have an ample spread for a self-serve breakfast that includes coffee, tea, juices, bagels, fresh fruit, variety of yogurt, energy bars like CLIF and KIND, and other goodies. We are looking forward to returning – and next time it will be for more than one night!

“A Paradise Here On Earth As You Enter The Dock”

Reviewed October 13, 2014 by traveljounalist of Nokomis, Florida

There you are coming in by boat and all of a sudden there’s a peaceful, quietness that you notice as the sound of fish jumping and birds wishing through the air become the main attraction. You start walking from the dock through a beautiful walk way towards the main entrance of the lodge and feel welcomed as you are greeted at the door by a friendly voice that says “welcome to our home”. It becomes your home as the place is so warm feeling and the magnificent aroma of gourmet food cooking is present everywhere. You are building an appetite for the great food served in the 5 start restaurant that is right there down stars from your upstairs room. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. You feel right at home your entire stay. When you wake up in the morning there is a continental breakfast and the coffee is brewing at 6:30 am and smells so good. You walk down toward the dock and see the great view of Pine Island Sound and watch the birds waiting to catch the jumping fish that perform like acrobats every minute or two. You must be in the fishing capitol of the world as you are in Pineland/Bokeelia Florida. You are amazed at the entire area filled with many other islands like Cabbage Key,Captiva and others, all not too far away from Fort Myers airport, maybe an hour. Cleanliness is next to Godliness here at the Tarpon Lodge & Restaurant. Pass the word but also keep in mind that it’s the “best kept secret” and you’ll want to keep it that way. The place has been here since 1926. Enjoy!

“Old Florida at it’s Best”

Reviewed December 10, 2015 by Chef Dennis L of Orlando, Florida

Nothing I’ve experienced to date can compare with the peace and serenity I experienced during my stay at the Tarpon Lodge on beautiful Pine Island. As we got closer to Tarpon Lodge we passed Eagle and Osprey Nests, Palm Tree and Mango Farms, Cattle Ranches and the local post office. What you won’t find on Pine Island is a traffic light.

I walked in this amazing little corner of what was to be a slice of Old Florida hidden away — could not believe it. I thought I was going to see Ernest Hemmingway perched at the bar! It was so peaceful and relaxing and unlike Key West — you felt like you were the only people who had found this little gem.
