“Paradise”

Reviewed July 24, 2019 by howdy119 of Kissimmee, Florida

What a lovely and peaceful place to stay. Very relaxing and beautiful views of the sunset from sitting outside in the Adirondack chairs to looking out the window or balcony. The restaurant food was wonderful. The room we stayed in was comfortable and decorated nicely. The absolutely best part of the stay though, was none of these things. The staff, each and every one, are incredible, friendly, knowledgeable of the area and made great recommendations. They make you feel like family and we look forward to a trip back very soon. We highly recommend it!

“Take a Trip Back in Time!”

Reviewed July 24, 2019 by Marlene R

We’ve been to the restaurant and bar several times and it was always a great experience. This time, we stayed at the lodge for 3 nights, enjoying boat rides to the islands and hikes around Pine Island. The rooms are comfy, the staff is well-trained and friendly, the food is fabulous and the views outstanding. You can’t go wrong staying here. Plus, they are involved with the community in which they are located. AWESOME!!

“Michelle’s birthday retreat”

This lodge, which was more like a resort checked all the boxes. Friendly staff, great food and accommodations. The surroundings were awesome. Great place to unwind and relax. The owner of the property was there to welcome us and even assisted me with my bags to my room.

“Old Florida as I imagined”

Reviewed April 25, 2019 by ken4747 of Southborough, Massachusetts

As I walked in I did not feel I it was 2019 rather 1955. A wonderful throw back to a slower time. The restaurant is part of an inn over looking the water. Walking into the restaurant I thought a sport jacket would have been appropriate. We had a nice round table for our party of six. The service was excellent. The food was to everyone’s liking. Given the group size that indicates a variety of tastes. After the nice meal we walked around the grounds for a pleasant post meal saunter. There is parking along side the inn part of the Lodge. I plan to go back. It is not an inexpensive place, nor is outrageous price.

“Best place on Pine Island”

Reviewed April 20, 2019 by shelbylou of Kasota, Minnesota

Wonderful food, service and view. Excellent blue crab and corn chowder, Key lime martinis, shrimp salad, everything was good. Just a few minutes from Alden Pines golf course. Prices are comparable to the rest of the eateries on Pine Island except it’s white table cloths and excellent food and service. Went here for lunch numerous times during our month on the island.

“Fantastic food and sunset view!”

Reviewed February 21, 2019 by Linda P of Elizabethton, Tennessee

We wanted a special dinner for my sister’s birthday and this place was definitely the right choice! My brother-in-law and I both had the fettuccine with fresh mussels and they were melt-in-your-mouth delicious! All of us were more than delighted with our meals; the service was impeccable as were our surroundings! And the sunset on the gulf water ended our day perfectly

“Rocked our wedding – Couldn’t be happier!”

Reviewed January 26, 2019 by Marlynn

From the start of our planning over a year ago and throughout the preparations to the big event – we were amazed at the professionalism and friendly support we got from every single staff member – including the owners. What a class act. We had family and friends fly in from all over the world and from coast to coast and very single bit of feedback we heard was fantastic, many said they were already planning a return visit. Debbie, Sue and Peggy kept our guests informed and us updated regularly on reservations etc. while Shohreh was the absolute best event coordinator one could ever hope for. She kept everyone calm and handled every item down to the finest detail. Food was exceptional, as usual and we heard the same from all our guests – in fact some stayed another day just to keep the party going. Our rehearsal dinner was on Cabbage Key, and Michelle and her crew also deserve a special shout out for a job very well done. Mike held the bar humming with our party happy crew and went far above and beyond just doing his job… You are our home away from home, thanks for the memories of a lifetime and see you all again soon! Best, Mary Beth & Gary

“Gourmet Dining in a Relaxed and Casual Atmosphere”

Reviewed October 2, 2018 by Neil P of Cape Coral, Florida

My wife and I have been eating at the Tarpon Lodge Restaurant for many years now and have never been disappointed with the food or service. We recently went for dinner with my wife’s uncle, who was visiting us from Germany, as the Lodge is a very special old Florida place.
….
This is definitely the best restaurant on Pine Island, as well as one of the top restaurants in the Fort Myers/Cape Coral area. If you’re in the neighborhood and want a great meal, definitely give it a try.

“Truly memorable”

Reviewed May 20, 2018 by Jutta W of Germany

We celebrated our silver anniversary here five years ago and have been coming back every year since then. Our 30th wedding anniversary this year coincided with Mother‘s Day but we were still able to make a reservation. We had a front row seat on the patio and Julian, our waiter, made us feel really special and we had smart and witty conversations. The food, as always, was outstanding. My husband had the filet mignon and I had the triple tail fish which a friend had recommended years ago but it has not been on the menu for the longest time. Tarpon Lodge is special in every way and takes you back to a different time. We love coming here and can only recommend it.

“Florida Tradition”

Reviewed May 10, 2018 by Kyle L of Jackson, Wyoming

The Tarpon Lodge is one of those delightful places where history, service and setting all come together to make a memorable experience.
The staff are delightful and feel like family by the time you depart. The setting is peaceful and quite – a wonderful location on Pine Island Sound with easy access to activities and the ferry to explore Cabbage Key.
The rooms are comfortable (nothing pretentious here) and half of the rooms enjoy the water view from a balcony.
Even if you don’t stay here – do dine at the restaurant. The menu features fresh seafood and the steak is one of the best.
